Our Current Priorities

These have been developed in conjunction with Trustees, the Senior management Team and all staff to ensure First Steps (Bath) is able to meet the challenges of changes of service delivery and funding.

Our Priorities and Aims 2016-2017

1.      To ensure the long term future of FSB

  • To move to a social enterprise model of child care service delivery
  • To stream line systems to ensure that we offer value and are able to expand our services
  • To increase our ability to raise funds from local businesses, grants and trust funds


2.      To maintain the quality of all our services

  • To continue to work to ensure that all children in the reach areas make good progress and are ready to start school
  • To sustain the reputation and positive experience that parents value
  • To offer training and professional support to develop staff knowledge and effectiveness


3.      To ensure sustained learning and growth

  • Continue to consult with families through change
  • Ensuring that the key messages from social enterprise are communicated
  • Rebuild Moorlands Nursery to include family space
  • Develop effective marketing for all services.
