The First Steps Pedagogy Rainbow represents how Early Years Practitioners within all services lead learning to provide the very best outcomes for our children. Each colour of the Pedagogy Rainbow is based on a wide range of research. Many learning concepts join with each colour to deliver excellent teaching and wonderful experiences for our children.
Similar to synaptic connections in a child's brain, all learning is strengthened through repetition and application. First Steps early years practitioners understand this and ensure that each colour of our pedagogy runs through all play and activities in our nurseries.
Every child has a right to the rich intermingled learning opportunities vital for their development and key to extending their potential.
